Today I want to talk a little bit about the best services and applications for creating and storing presentations.

1.SlideShare

The SlideShare service allows you to send created presentations to the Internet, providing open or limited access to them. The service converts PowerPoint, OpenOffice, Keynote or PDF files to Flash format. It allows you to create brand channels where your presentations will be stored. This service allows you to save PDF files, documents, or videos (including YouTube clips embedded in presentations). A significant advantage of the service is that access and sharing of presentations is quite simple. Uploaded to the service presentation you can easily insert into corporate blogs or websites, share them via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. It is possible to create audio slides, so you can create your own webinars on the basis of presentations. The disadvantage of the service is that the uploaded presentations can no longer be edited.

Free from ads free publishing platform Speaker Deck allows you to download slides in PDF document format. The service then converts them into presentations in a lightweight format that allows you to quickly share them over the Internet. Although the Speaker Deck program offers fewer features than its competitors, the simple sharing of presentations and the elegant, no-frills platform make it an indispensable tool, easy to use. The service also provides an opportunity for any user to download your favorite presentation in PDF format, and then view it offline on bookreaders, smartphones and other mobile devices.

5.Prezi

The leading application for creating presentations: all slides are located on a huge desktop and switch between them using the zooming-effect, which allows you to create a real presentation script, without being distracted by the development of additional ways to attract the attention of the viewer. The zooming effect gives the narrator the ability to improvise with the presentation and move in a non-linear scenario, this strongly distinguishes Prezi from other tools.

There is a possibility of the publication of the presentation in the structure of a web page.
Usage: for a novice user may seem difficult, because it does not have the usual interface in the form of drop-down menus. Knowledge of English is also required.
Cost: all tool features are available for $159 per year. The free version is available in the browser and also for 30 days to use the editor offline. There is a full free version of the editor for universities and students (you need to confirm your studies).

6.Qwiki

Internet service, which was supposed to turn into a multimedia version of Wikipedia, but developed into a full-fledged tool for creating video presentations. Various elements (images, texts, links, videos, maps, twitter feed and so on) can serve as materials for the presentation. In contrast to the usual video, in the view mode the user has the opportunity to interact with the content of the screen in different ways, without interrupting the storyline and the voice of the speaker. Of the obvious drawbacks - does not work offline and is not available on the iPhone.
Features: huge selection of types of elements inserted into the story script. A large collection of presentations, as the service was originally an encyclopedia. Available on mobile devices as a separate application. The ability to publish a video presentation in the structure of a web page (blogs, social networks, and so on). There is no need to think about the design of the presentation, the design of the story is automatic and in the same style.
Usage: a very modern and simple interface qwiki will be clear to almost every user, but the work with the timing setting to synchronize the voice with the visual range may seem difficult and require you to video editing skills. Knowledge of English is also required.
